Welcome to Skills Training And Rehabilitation Society (STARS) website. STARS is non-governmental, non-political and non-for profit organization which established in 1997. STARS is registered with the Ministry of Economy and close coordination and project agreement with the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Public Health, Agriculture, Rural Rehabilitation Development, MOLSAMD and some government provincial departments. STARS is the member of ACBAR, Afghan Women Network (AWN) and Civil Society Empowerment Network (CEN) at the national level. STARS is the only female organization focusing Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and is the member of Asian Disaster Risk Reduction and Response Network (ADRRN) since 2006.

STARS have been implemented numerous category of projects like food security, livelihood emergency response, several type of skill training and advocacy as well as implementation of several type of constructions projects, from different donors in all regions of Afghanistan.

I encourage you to use this website to get information on the STARS activities during last several years specially information on the food security, livelihood emergency response, skill training and constructions projects.

The website is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of STARS including its vision of economically empowered society of especially the marginalized women who are the front most vulnerable group of our society.

The site reflects the organization commitment to its donors, governmental organizations and international community to provide service on food security, livelihood emergency response, skill training and advocacy and constructions projects. STARS will continually strive to provide quality services, serve our people, improve its services and create opportunities for partnerships.
