The Seasonal Support project is financially supported by the World Food Program (WFP) with a total budget of about 3.4 million AFN, for a duration of 2.5 months (15th August 2019 – 31st October 2019). The project was implemented by STARS, in Chak, Daymirdad, Jalrez, Nerkh, Saydabad, and Jaghato districts of Maidan Wardak Province in Afghanistan from which a total of 13,200 households received basic foods.

The overall objective of this project was to increase food security levels of the most vulnerable populations, build peace and trust between locals (Government and Taliban), strengthen the resilience of the target population against shocks, support the recovery of communities affected by food, insecurity shocks and Respond to the food-security needs of economically stressed, most vulnerable men, women, boys and girls affected by conflict, drought and natural disasters in 6 districts of Maidan Wardak Province.
